1. Publisher identification
The website taxi-in-belgium.site (the « Site ») is published by: • Trade name: Taxi in Belgium • Manager: Mourad EL BAGHDADI • Status: Self-employed • Registered office: Brussels, Belgium • Company / VAT number: BE0758372677 • Contact: contact@taxi-in-belgium.site
Hosting: LWS.
2. Nature of the service
Taxi in Belgium is an intermediary platform that connects clients with self-employed professional drivers holding their own operating license for the paid transportation of persons.
Taxi in Belgium does not operate any vehicle itself and does not hold a taxi/PHV license: the transport service is fully performed by the partner driver, who is solely responsible for it before the public authority and the client.
Geographical coverage: Brussels-Capital Region and transfers to/from Brussels Airport (BRU) and Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL).
3. Booking and rates
The fare is calculated and displayed at the time of booking. It is firm and final: no surcharge is applied after confirmation, unless expressly requested by the client (change of address, additional waiting time, etc.).
The client must provide accurate information (address, time, number of passengers, contact details). Any incorrect information that may make the ride impossible is the client's responsibility.
The maximum number of passengers per ride is limited to 4 people.
4. Payment
The client chooses their payment method when booking: • Online by card via Stripe (at the time of booking), • By card on board (subject to the driver), • Cash directly to the driver.
For online payments, the transaction is securely processed by Stripe. Taxi in Belgium does not store any banking data.
5. Cancellation, delay and no-show
Free cancellation: possible within 5 minutes after the booking confirmation. After this period, the ride is considered due.
No-show: if the client is absent at the pickup location and paid by card, the ride is not refunded.
Client delay: a waiting tolerance is granted at the pickup location. Beyond that, the ride may be cancelled by the driver and invoiced.
Refund: a full refund is only granted if the driver does not show up at the agreed time and place.
6. Passenger obligations
The passenger agrees to: • Respect the vehicle and the driver, • Not consume alcohol or illegal substances on board, • Keep the vehicle clean — any damage or soiling may give rise to compensation in favor of the driver, • Not carry any object or goods prohibited by Belgian law.
The driver reserves the right to refuse or interrupt the ride if these rules are not respected.
7. Luggage and lost items
Personal luggage is allowed within the vehicle's capacity, excluding any items prohibited by Belgian law.
If an item is left in the vehicle, the client may contact contact@taxi-in-belgium.site. Taxi in Belgium will do its best to put the client in touch with the driver, but cannot be held liable for the loss, theft or damage of items forgotten in the vehicle.
8. Liability and insurance
Insurance covering passengers during the ride is the responsibility of the partner driver, in accordance with Belgian regulations applicable to the paid transport of persons.
Taxi in Belgium, as an intermediary, cannot be held liable for incidents during the ride, traffic delays, weather conditions or any case of force majeure.
9. Personal data protection (GDPR)
Taxi in Belgium only collects the data needed to process the booking: first name, last name, phone, email, pickup address, date and time of the ride.
No banking data is stored: online payments are handled by Stripe.
Retention period: booking data is kept for 2 years from the date of the ride, for accounting, tax and dispute management purposes.
Sub-processors: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS notifications), LWS (hosting).
Under the GDPR, the client has the right to access, rectify, object to and request deletion of their data. Any request may be sent to contact@taxi-in-belgium.site.
10. Mediation and applicable law
These terms are subject to Belgian law.
In case of dispute, and prior to any legal action, the client may contact the Consumer Mediation Service of the FPS Economy (https://consumerombudsman.be).
Failing an amicable agreement, only the courts of Brussels shall have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to the terms
Taxi in Belgium reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of booking.
